Corby is about to become one of the few places in the UK with an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

A brand new 50 metre international swimming and diving pool is to be built in the centre of Corby. The Olympic-sized pool will be a regional and national asset for competitive swimmers and divers alike. A striking design for the pool has been drawn up by S&P Architects, the firm responsible for the Manchester and Dublin Aquatic Centres, who are also supporting the designers of the 2012 London Olympic
Swimming Pool.

In the build-up to the 2012 Olympics, the pool will provide a huge opportunity to promote Corby as the training centre of choice for smaller Olympic nations. More importantly it will encourage higher levels of participation and improved health awareness for everyone in Corby.

Corby Amateur Swimming Club
The club has more than 100 members and is based at Corby’s 25 metre pool, with its teaching pool, splash pool and water chute.
